Sci-Fi — Oh How I miss thee!!!

Cravings are dangerous things. If I go without ice cream for a while in the name of health and longevity, I might break down at some point, run to the store, and gorge my gullet with that tasty elixir that is the bane of the lactose intolerant. Unfortunately, until November 2007, there was no substantive store to which I could turn for my Sci-Fi fix.

In the absence of Sci-Fi — and ice cream, I applied the salve of Fantasy to my gaming life, and I have been afloat on that desolate sea for a few years. Between Dark Age of Camelot, Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2, and the Lord of the Rings On-Line, my only viable MMORPGs appeared solely in the genre.

Since I maintain my self-imposed exile from all things Sony — and thus Star Wars Galaxies — I sit patiently waiting for Stargate Worlds and Star Trek Online while praying that Sony doesn’t buy those properties the way it groped Pirates of the Burning Sea from the pockets of Flying Labs.

So back to my opening point: I have craved Sci-Fi. I have been starved by the market. Now I am finding both gaming relief and real life sleeplessness — enter the world of Tabula Rasa:

I would like to say one thing to NC Soft —:> Thanks! I needed that!
