No More Public Transportation in Middle Earth

Alegulper no longer needs public transportation! I can cruise on my on pony through the lands. The only problem is that it has no cruise control. However, it is a liberating feeling! I am still not sure where I stow the horse when it is not in use, but I must remind myself that an important part of enjoying a fictional narrative is to SUSPEND DISBELIEF!

Ale and Horsey

Once you reach level 35 you are eligible for the mount. However, you must undertake a series of quests, not too dissimilar to the ones in Dark Age of Camelot, to earn the privelege. After you complete the quest, you plop down a little over 4 gold pieces, and you are ready to saddle up and roll out!

The quests consist of a couple of horse deliver actions to Bree and Michel Delving. Then for the grand finale you have to run a race:

Horse Quest (1)

It’s well worth it and great fun as well! Not only that, but a horse is a status symbol among players.

  1. The NumLock key is a cruise control of sorts, but you still have to steer. And don’t do off cliffs or into too-deep water.

When not in use, your horsey, like Shadowfax, wanders the plains and meadows of Middle Earth, grazing. Check the graphic when you start a ride: you’re whistling for your mount to come to you.

  2. Oh my god what game is this you are talking about??? I gotta have it!! Please can you let me know so I can let the moths out of my purse!
